Oxygen in the atmosphere we breath is about 21%. A sensor placed under a well fitted mask reveals that the air we then breath has an oxygen level of about 17%. Occupational Health and Safety had a ruling that any workplace with less than 19% oxygen must have an appropriate procedure in place to protect workers or health damage would occur.
